Amarcord 2015

Making a dent

I just want to take you away from everyone and keep you stashed under my pillow,
And then I'd take you out simply for my own pleasure and wear you when the occasion's special
Then I'd put you on like a diamond so I can sparkle and be the envy of my friends
I'd proudly hold the leash that I'd have you on so you can't stray and follow me around all day.

So-called London

Getting strong in every way

Oh I am growing tired of allowing you to steal everything I have,
you're making me feel like I was born to service you, but I am growing by the hour

You left us far behind so we all discard our souls and blaze through your skies so afraid to die
'cause I was born to destroy you and I am growing by the hour, and I'm getting strong in every way, yeah

You led me on, you led me on, you...

I'm getting strong in every way.

Narrow Minded Social Club

I've got an ongoing problem in my life to tolerate some people about
No matter how I try playing the nice guy, there's always someone picking you out

Where do they run off to when everyday people find it harder to sleep?
And while you pull on through they just run away from the world 'cause they're weak

Follow me

When darkness falls and surrounds you.
When you fall down, when you’re scared and you’re lost.
Be brave, I'm coming to hold you now.
When all your strength has gone and you feel wrong, like your life has slipped away.

Follow me, you can follow me and I will not desert you now.

When your fire’s died out.
No one’s there: they have left you for dead.

Follow me, you can follow me, I will keep you safe, I will protect you
I won’t let them hurt, they're hurting you.

When your heart is breaking you can follow me.

Feel my love

What's the catch?

"A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it.

Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet.

Imagine what you'll know tomorrow."

Sam "Ace" Rothstein

ACE: I'm trying to marry you. You want to marry me? I'm serious. I mean, I - I want to settle down. I want a family.

GINGER: You got the wrong girl, Sam. [...] I care about you - But I just don't have those kind of feelings for you. I'm sorry. I'm not in love with you.

ACE: (Brushing cigarette ash off his clothes) I - I - I...

GINGER: Understand? I'm sorry.

ACE: No, I - I... mean... that can grow as I - as long as there's a mutual respect... that kind of thing can grow. I'm realistic. I can accept that. But, you know, what is... What is love anyway? It's a... it's a mutual respect. It's - it's a devotion. It's a... it's a caring from one person to another. And if we could set up some kind of foundation... based on that mutual respect... I feel that eventually you would care enough about me... that I could live with that.

GINGER: If it doesn't work out. You know, if it doesn't play out, then what happens to me?

ACE: You know I'm doin' well now, and I'm gonna do even better. And so, whatever happens, if it doesn't work out between us, I'm gonna make sure you're okay for the rest of your life. And if there are kids, especially, you know, I'll take care of you better than you'd ever imagine.

GINGER: What're you pitching me, here?

ACE: Just what I said. You'll be set up for the rest of your life. That I can promise you. Want to take a chance?

Denial, revisited (once again)

So here we go, having the same old fight again
There she goes, same old game that never ends
If I could say all the right words, I know I could make you stay
If I could say all the right words things would work out all right

And if you go I won't believe that it's forever
And you can go but I'll never leave 'cause it's not over

Replay last night talking it out don't make it right
I know she's tried, but my whole world is her and all we've got now

And if you go I won't believe that it's forever
I won't let go even if she say that it's over
I know it'll be different this time if you'd just stay

And when we wrote this story, how did it end? It was you and me for all our lives
Come on, don't say it, we'll try again
And if I'd just hold you we could last

But she stands softly.
Tears down her face, hitting me. Oh, god, this is the end

I'd wait here for you but there's nothing more now I can do...

How did you know?

Finally

End-of-trip facilities

Otro viajecico a tierras desconocidas termina.
